To provide, maintain and store appropriate plant, materials and equipment, which will most effectively and efficiently meet Council's needs to fulfil current and future programs.

Council currently operates depots at Moree, Mungindi and Boggabilla. The Moree Depot also incorporates the Workshop and Stores facilities.

Key challenges include distance between facilities; identifying the optimum plant and equipment to meet Council program requirements; plant condition; accuracy of plant maintenance management systems; amenity of facilities and limitations on resources.

  • Continue to develop an inventory control system.
  • Maximise utilisation of plant and equipment.
  • Aim for optimum economies in procurement arrangements.
