Exhibition of DRAFT Growth Management Strategy |
Notice is given that Council has prepared a Draft Growth Management Strategy which has been approved for exhibition by the NSW Department of Planning.
The purpose of the strategy is to provide a planning basis for Council's new local environmental plan which will cover the entire Shire of Moree Plains. Significant changes to zonings are being proposed to many parts of the Shire, particularly in the townships of Moree and Mungindi, and also affecting many rural residential areas. The exhibition provides an opportunity for members of the public to review these changes and to make comment on the strategy generally prior to the drafting of the new local environmental plan.
The draft strategy will be on public exhibition at Council's Administration Office, 21 Auburn Street Moree, the Moree Town Library, Balo St Moree, Council’s Mungindi Office, St George Street Mungindi, the Ashley Store, the Boggabilla Store, Pallamallawa Post Office, Garah Post Office and Tramby & Hanks Gurley during normal business hours and on Council’s Website www.mpsc.nsw.gov.au from Monday 11th August, 2008 to Monday 22nd September, 2008.
