In accordance with Clause 18 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulation 2000, notice is given that Council has prepared a Draft Interim Development Control Plan. The reason for the Draft Plan is that Council currently has a number of specific development control plans which address different planning issues. For example, these include the flooding DCP, the DCP for medium density housing, the parking DCP and the like. Changes to planning legislation implemented in 2006 mean that Council can no longer amend any of its development control plans unless they are consolidated into a single document. The draft plan is on public exhibition at Council's Administration Office, 21 Auburn Street Moree, Council’s Mungindi Office and the Moree Town Library during normal business hours from Wednesday 9th April, 2008 to Friday 9th May, 2008 and can also be viewed on Council’s Web site www.mpsc.nsw.gov.au. If you wish to make a submission in relation to the draft Interim Development Control Plan, please do so in writing by 3.00 p.m. on Friday 9th May, 2008. Submissions must be made in writing to the General Manager, Moree Plains Shire Council and can be lodged electronically, fax or mailed to PO Box 420 Moree NSW 2400.
