State and Federal Funding

Council will be aggressively lobbying State and Federal Government for additional funding for road infrastructure maintenance. While the further deterioration and deformation of the local road network will have a negative impact on our Shire in the short term, in the long term the affects will extend to a State and National level. Without a sustainable road network the movement of agriculture produce and machinery will be hindered and significantly impair the Shire’s ability to output food and fibre produce. These products are utilised for State, National and International consumption and the reduction in production levels will affect all levels of the economy and community.
