Moree Plains Shire Council currently supports the development of skills relevant to employment in Local Government via sponsorship of the following scholarships and bursaries. In addition to the financial support offered Council employees each scholarship recipient for at least 4 weeks a year to provide relevant work experience and to develop a working relationship and support system for the student. Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning Scholarship – University of New England http://www.une.edu.au Bachelor of Engineering – University of Southern Queensland http://www.usq.edu.au  Current Recipient - Kimberley Davis and Moree Plains Shire Councils. Human Resources Manager Mrs Debby Baxter-Tomkins Charles Sturt University Scholarship – associated with studies in Business (Finance or Human Resources), Library and Information Services, or Early Childhood Teaching. (Commences in 2010) http://www.csu.edu.au All scholarships are applied for directly with the relevant university. Scholarships are offered for the duration of each Degree. Each scholarship will become vacant for applications upon the graduation of the current recipient. Bursary for Bachelor of Technology Civil Engineering – University of New England. Applications for this bursary are advertised and received directly with Moree Plains Shire Council. |
