... Future Direction, Budget.

To provide a major aviation transport facility that successfully competes with larger centres.
Council has three airports located at Moree, Mungindi and Boomi.
The Moree Aerodrome is a CASA licensed facility, with 15 flights per week between Moree and Sydney and is the home base for a number of commercial agricultural and general aviation facilities, as well as local SES and the Moree Aero Club. Mungindi is a sealed strip serving agricultural and general aviation users.
Boomi has a gravel runway available for use by agricultural and general aviation users, as well as emergency operations. Key challenges include funding for future cyclic maintenance requirements; compatibility development between aerodrome and adjacent users; retention and development of a viable and community friendly regular public transport service; user safety, security and amenity. Future Direction - Manage the amenity airport in a manner that is both environmentally friendly and conducive to further
development.

- Maximise the commercial potential while maintaining core aviation functions.
