Winning Golden Ticket Holders – Big Sky Libraries

To celebrate Big Sky Libraries 60th birthday and Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday, 500 Golden Tickets were hidden for library goers to find when they borrowed items.

The winning tickets were drawn out by State Librarian Dr Alex Byrne and Mayor Cr Katrina Humphries at the Big Sky Libraries Diamond Jubilee celebrations last week. Lucky Golden Ticket finders gave a reason why they enjoyed the book so much and winners were awarded fabulous prizes.

The Moree Community Library would like to congratulate the winners of the Golden Ticket Competition:

  • Maureen Baker – Adult
  • Noah Humphries – Junior (8-12yrs)
  • Jessica Knowles – Infant (5-7yrs)
  • Lucas & Corey Nash – Preschool (0-4yrs)

Winner of the Infants section Jessica Knowles is a regular library user and attends the Big Sky’s Little Readers group on Tuesdays during the school term.

“My Golden Ticket was hidden inside the book Pippa’s Perfect Picnic. This is an adorable story of Pippa’s perfect spring picnic and her cat that surprises everyone when she has kittens in the picnic basket.”

“I love going to the library – borrowing books and playing library charades at Little Readers,” said Jessica.

There were five Golden Ticket categories: Adult, Young Adult (no entries), Primary Aged, Infant and Pre-Schoolers.
