With Boundless Plains to Share

Hosting a citizenship ceremony is one of the key highlights for Cr Katrina Humphries in her role as Mayor and today she swore in ten new Aussies at a naturalisation ceremony at the Moree Community Library.

The new Australian's hail from India, Philippines and Serbia and reinforces Moree Plains as a multicultural community that welcomes immigrants and refugees.

"I love the line in our National Anthem...with boundless plains to share...it captures the sentiment of our community; the black soil plains that provide so much opportunity to the friendly faces so willing to embrace diversity," said the Mayor.

The Mayor presented the conferee's with Australian flags and a native trees as symbols of new beginnings, new experiences and for a prosperous, happy and fruitful life in Australia.
