🌲SAFETY AROUND TREES FOLLOWING STORMS 🌲

Tree damage Moree ShireFollowing the wild weather over the past few days, bear in mind, trees around the Shire (including on private property) may have been weakened and become unstable and can pose a risk to community members. Trees and branches may have been hit by lightning or affected by very strong winds during big storms. As Council and property owners assess the damage caused by recent storm activity, please be mindful of the risk of trees and branches falling.

Public Notice to the Residents of Boggabilla

 Level 2 Water Restrictions

 Council wishes to advise Boggabilla residents that compulsory water restrictions are required until further notice

 Water NSW are undertaking essential works on the Boggabilla Weir. Due to the weir pool already being at a low water level and the possibility of this reducing even further, the following restrictions now apply:

 

  • Use of Sprinkler limited to 6.00am -9.00am and from 7.00pm to 10.00pm
  • Buckets and recycled water may be used at any time;
  • Please conserve water whenever possible.We look forward to the cooperation of residents to avoid the imposition of more severe restrictions.  Council will be monitoring usage, and consumers may be disconnected if found to be not complying with the restrictions.If you notice a water leak on council’s water main please phone (02) 6757 3222 (24 hour service) so that urgent repairs can be arranged.  Council thanks you in advance for your cooperation with the water restrictions.
