Tree damage Moree ShireFollowing the wild weather over the past few days, bear in mind, trees around the Shire (including on private property) may have been weakened and become unstable and can pose a risk to community members. Trees and branches may have been hit by lightning or affected by very strong winds during big storms. As Council and property owners assess the damage caused by recent storm activity, please be mindful of the risk of trees and branches falling.

How To Make Sure Your Bin Gets Emptied

1. Put the right materials in the right bin

• Your red lid wheelie bin is for rubbish and waste
• Your green lid wheelie bin is for organics, food and green waste
• Your yellow lid wheelie bin is for recycling

2. Find out the collection days

Place the bin on the kerb (either the nature strip or the road verge) before 6am on the collection day
• Face the bin towards the road, with the wheels pointing towards the kerb and the lid opening to the street
• Space bins at least one metre apart and one metre from trees or parked cars
• Lids must be closed and nothing escaping or poking out of the lid
• Bins cannot weigh more than 75 kg

4. On all public holidays, your kerbside wheelie bin service will operate on your usual collection day.
