On behalf of the local government sector, I would like to acknowledge the passing of former Moree Plains Shire councillor, Mr Jim Crawford.

Mr Crawford served on council from 2016 to 2021 and was highly regarded for his steady contribution and commitment to his community. He will be remembered as a thoughtful and community-minded individual who gave his time in service to others.

To the Crawford family, and to all who knew him, we extend our sincere condolences on behalf of councils across NSW.
