Volunteers have worked hard for the previous 8 years to deliver this incredible space which reflects and pays honour to military memorabilia. With over 800 books, a cinematic experience and countless artefacts the museum is an asset to the Moree Plains.

Deputy Mayor, Susannah Pearse reflected upon her homage to the Defence Force, “As a daughter of two Army officers - my father a Leftenant Colonel who served in Vietnam, my mother a Captain in the Women’s Royal Australian Army Corps, my valuing of our Defence Force is in my breeding. My grandfather served in Papua New Guinea in World War II, and my great grandfather served at Gallipoli, the Sommes and was taken as a prisoner of war at Pozieres in France”.

The Moree RSL Regional Military Museum is located on the Corner of Balo and Albert Street(s) and will be open Friday’s 10am to 4pm, Saturday’s 10am to 2pm.

“This created wonderful attraction for Moree, which will serve as a testament and reminder for all who visit, that the peace and liberty that we live in today, was hard fought”, remarked Cr Pearse.
