Potential nominee for LGNSW election session

Are you thinking about seeking election as a Councillor for Moree Plains Shire in 2024?

With nominations now open for the 2024 Local Government Elections, Council will host two information sessions for potential nominees on Thursday, 8 August 2024 in the Council Chambers at Level 1, 30 Heber Street, Moree. The first session will be held at 1:00 pm and will be repeated at 5:30 pm, both running for approximately 1 hour.

The sessions will provide an overview of Moree Plains Shire Council and its activities, including our organisational structure, Integrated Planning and Reporting framework and some of our major projects. We will also offer insight into what successful candidates should expect from their first couple of Council meetings.
